- Use a structured framework to triage behaviour cases within a 15-minute consult
- Identify red flags indicating risk, pain, or the need for referral
- Communicate effectively with clients about expectations, welfare and next steps
- Understand the respective roles of vets and vet nurses in ongoing behaviour support

Dr Beverley Wilson, BVedMSci BVM BVS (Hons) PgC(SAM) GPCert(SAM) MSc AFHEA CCAB MRCVS RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Companion Animal Behaviour
Beverley graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Nottingham before pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in small animal medicine. She then furthered her education by earning a Master’s in Clinical Animal Behaviour at the University of Lincoln, where she continues to undertake her residency and PhD.
Her doctoral research focuses on the emotions of fear and frustration in dogs. Beyond her PhD, Beverley actively mentors others through the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians and contributes to the FAB Clinicians Veterinary Sub Committee. She has recently achieved RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Companion Animal Behaviour, further solidifying her expertise in the field.
